Michael T. Becker, Managing Partner

Mr. Becker, a co-founder of Broadsword Partners in 2000, manages the firm's activities. He was a Senior Vice President and Director of Equities at UBS Warburg Dillon Read from 1994 to 2000. Prior to Dillon Read, he was a Senior Vice President at Smith Barney and Kidder Peabody and started his career at William Blair & Co in Chicago. His responsibilities have included institutional and retail equity and fixed income sales, private equity analysis and capital raising. He graduated with a BS from the University of Arizona and received an MBA from Columbia Business School graduating with honors. He is co-founder, CFO and Director of TorchStone Global, LLC, a risk mitigation and security advisory firm based in New York, has served on various corporate and not for profit boards, is a Columbia Business School Lang Fund mentor, and a 2008 graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and 2009 NYPD Citizens Academy. He is a member of InfraGard, Arab Bankers Association North America, Economic Club of New York and the Royal Geographical Society London and ASIS International. Through his far-reaching network of national and international relationships, Mr. Becker has been an active private equity investor for over 20 years.
