Advisory Strategy
Broadsword Partners strives to ensure that its clients have the opportunity to select the most favorable strategic financial option. Often, clients need to decide between making acquisitions, raising additional capital, selling their company outright or other value creating capital structure events. Our skills in identifying capital sources, merger and acquisition activities, and principal investing allow clients to have a range of strategic opportunities to explore simultaneously. Often, BP will follow a bifurcated path in which it pursues institutional/private equity investors and strategic acquirers, simultaneously. By following this type of approach, the client is prepared with the widest range of sensible, value sustaining alternatives. Occasionally this type of process can result in the client having term sheets from private equity or VC firms as well as strategic offers from corporations willing to take a minority or majority position in the client firm. In the case of a sell-side advisory process, our goal is to manage a highly efficient process which results in several bids for the client company.
Please see Transaction Types for the various methods that companies can explore to help achieve their strategic and value maximization objectives.
